| Thanksgiving, 2014
DELAND, FL -- We've eaten enough Thanksgiving meals here, that it qualifies as a family tradition.
Brian's is across the county from home, but it's a local joint, a business built by a graduate of one of our county's high shools. He is usually on the prowl as he was out back Thursday, smoking turkeys by the dozens for take-out customers while the eat-in crowd stormed the buffet, in an orderly fashion, of course.
I did eat a bit of turkey, but went heavier on the ribs. Lots of veggies too, and of course a couple of desserts. It's all-you-can-eat and I always wish I could eat more.
Earlier in the week, I logged six hours at the Y, in pre-emptive calorie-burning. I'll be at it again early Friday morning.
