How do you like my toothpick?
OLD FAITHFUL, WY -- The Yellowstone nursery is full of youngsters this time of year. The most visible are the bison calves, called "red dogs" because of their color, their size, and probably the way they follow their mothers like faithful dogs.
These are two we spotted over the past couple of days, the top one in the Upper Geyser Basin near Old Faithful, and the bottom one off a side road in Montana, not far inside the park's west entrance at West Yellowstone, MT.
