TITUSVILLE, FL -- On a bird-hunting expedition a week ago we saw something I hadn't seen before -- a single dolphin, feeding in water so shallow that his dorsal fin was continually out of the water.
He was cruising up and down among a group of five or six cormorants, who were sitting on the surface and paying him no mind. Dolphins don't eat birds, or at least I can't find any evidence that they do.
Nevertheless, in this photo it appears that the dolphin is giving chase and the cormorant is fleeing for his life.
