Scenery overdose

CARCROSS, YT -- These mountains are expected to reflect nicely in Lake Tagish when the water is still. Right now, though, the water is way too still. Think rink.
Back in Skagway after an all-day training junket, we found it a pleasant evening, with more mountains in view at once than we've seen in two weeks. It was also the first time we didn't have to wear heavy coats, hats and gloves to walk downtown.
Maybe spring is finally arriving.
Thursday was our day off and we went to Whitehorse to swim in the pool at an absolutely gorgeous recreation center, and to shop for groceries. Foodstuffs are hard to come by, and expensive, in Skagway, where food arrives once per week, by barge. The barge comes on Tuesday. If you need to buy milk or bread on Monday, you are probably out of luck.
