ORMOND BEACH, FL -- Our Christmas trees have gone up here in OB. The "trees " are actually strings of lights mounted on bases anchored in the Halifax River, aka the Intracoastal Waterway. Each tree is topped by a seven-pointed star.
At night, they're quite pretty. In the daytime, they look like, well, strings of lights with a pinwheel on top.
Friday morning, an osprey was perched on one of the star-points, carefully scanning the water below for fish.
