Ospreys only do takeout

This osprey has just picked up an awkward lunch

 ISLAMORADA, FL -- We are indeed "In the Wind" this week, enjoying our first visit to the Florida Keys since 2007.  It has been cool and breezy for three straight days, cool being a relative term which means not up to 80 yet.
 No complaints from us.
 We've spent a day in Key West, and two other days roaming up and down the chain of islands and enjoying the scenery.
 Friday we walked four miles on the old Seven Mile Bridge, no longer open to motor vehicles but available for pedestrians and bicyclists as far as Pigeon Key, a tiny island where scientific research and educational programs are conducted.
 On the way back, this osprey flew by with a fish who is having his worst day ever.  In this photo, the bird seems to be glaring at me as if he thinks I'm going to steal his lunch.
 He flew on, struggling with aerodynamic issues -- this fish is a bit longer than the usual osprey catches.  Somewhere out of our sight, he settled in for his meal.
