| A burning bush
WELLS, ME -- There are striking colors everywhere here this time of year, and some of them are evil.
Case in point, the burning bush pictured above, outside a motel in Ellsworth, ME. We've been admiring these all over, but learned on the Internet that they are invasive plants.
Birds eat burning bush seeds and then disperse them over a wide area, where they crowd out the native plants, much like Brazilian peppers and melaleucas back home in Florida.
