Anthem of the Seas in Bar Harbor

 BAR HARBOR, ME -- In past visits we've observed the Margaret Todd, a four-masted schooner that offers cruises to tourists three times per day.  The Todd is 151 feet long, and  has always looked huge, dwarfing everything else in the harbor.
 The photo above shows there is a new big ship in town, the Anthem of the Seas.  She arrived here for the first time in late August, becoming the largest cruise ship ever to visit.  She makes the Todd look like a dinghy.  She carries 4,000 passengers, plus 2,000 crew.
 No wonder the streets were so crowded Monday.
 After an all-day rain Sunday, Monday hit us sunshine, but temperatures in the 50s, and a 22-mph wind, gusting to much more than that on top of Cadillac Mountain.  It was not pleasant to be outside for long, so we did most of our sightseeing from the Magic Bus.
