DENALI NATIONAL PARK, AK -- All summer we've been seeing cow moose and their calves along the paved part of the Park Road.
Now the rut, or mating season, has begun, and the guys have been appearing to show off their season's growth of antlers, hoping the ladies will be suitably impressed. The results of the rut will be born next May.
Anytime any moose wanders into view, traffic stops and cameras come out. The photographer in this photo is getting the dreaded butt-shot, because the moose is busy looking at another camera-toter, namely me.
