DESTIN, FL -- Friday night in Arkansas we dug through our luggage to find shorts we hadn't worn since the day we left home in April.Saturday night we're back in long pants after checking into a super-cooled Florida hotel room. Having failed on several attempts to turn the air conditioning down, we finally turned it off.
We had thought a walk on the beach might be nice for our last evening on the road, but thunderstorms arrived here about the same time we did. No matter. We will have beach enough and time when we get home.
