Life is tough for rabbits

I should have been a giraffe

Cooper the dog stares down a rabbit

 TUCSON, AZ -- I didn't think my point-and-shoot camera would be able to catch the tall rabbit in the top photo.  It was just after 5 a.m., and I was using the zoom and a flash. There's there's a delay that would give the bunny time to more and mess up the picture.
 I was pleased with how this one turned out.  It shows how hard rabbits have to work to eat here, stretching tall to go for low-hanging seed pods on desert plants.  They would surely love the lush grass back home, where we see marsh rabbits grazing happily in the parks near our house.
 In the second photo, Cooper the dog engages in a stare-down with a rabbit on another early morning.
