Copyright 2006 Lydia HinshawCARCROSS, YT -- The litter of seven puppies at the dogsled attraction we visit here are a precocious bunch. Just five weeks old, they are already chowing down on solid food, and driving their mother mad.
In fact, their mom, Cinnamon, is not in this picture. She had taken an opportunity to escape for a 20-minute run beside a team pulling a musher and a couple of tourists. This left the youngsters free to harass a couple of the other adult dogs in the compound, who soon ran short on patience as well.
Michele the musher says next week she's separating Cinnamon and the little ones, since they are doing so well on their own.
