Mom's not worried, but the little guy's suspicious
BOZEMAN, MT -- We've passed by Little Bighorn at least twice over the past six years, but didn't have time to stop. Saturday we decided to take the time, and spent a couple of hours driving to various skirmish sites and tramping around the neat, paved trails.
These are quiet hills now, grazed by dozens of wild horses oblivious to passing tourists. There was only one newcomer to the herd, this little guy who isn't yet confident that a camera won't hurt him. At least he was brave enough not to hide behind his mom.
After Little Bighorn, we ate barbecue in Billings and later settled into a campground here in Bozeman, where we were delighted to find ourselves next door to a hot spring with a luxurious fitness center and a nice senior discount!
It gave us something to do during Sunday's all-day rain.
