Finally, we've seen the light!

PORT ORFORD, OR -- We've been in this area at least three times, and have camped here overnight twice, but we had never seen the lighthouse until Friday.
All the other times we'd been here, the whole neighborhood looked like the second picture.  So Friday when we arrived here in cloudless sunshine, we rushed over to the lighthouse, as seen in the top picture, as soon as we'd picked our campsite.
We took the tour, and lots of pictures.  A good thing too, because when we drove to the lighthouse parking lot Saturday morning, things had returned to normal.  By the time we'd driven nine miles into Port Orford, we were in sunshine again.  From that distance, we could see the lighthouse flash its two seconds out of every 20, but in between flashes it disappeared.
We spent the morning hiking near here, enjoying the chance to ramble up and down hills with continual views of the ocean.  This sort of terrain isn't found back home in Florida, where our only coastal "hills" are concrete high-rise bridges.
