Sow and cub rub noses

 LAKE LOUISE, AB -- Our trip to the Canadian Rockies has been photographically bountiful but Internet challenged.  This connection we've just found is tenuous and erratic, hence my reluctance to attempt to upload more than one picture.

 This mother and child were foraging along the Icefields Parkway about 15 miles north of here.  They were oblivious to a dozen or more cars that had stopped and unloaded drivers and passengers to take pictures.  Some of the humans were way too close to the bears.

 We waited around long enough to get both bears into the same frame.  This youngster was usually maintaining about a 15-yard gap from his mother as he explored the ground under his nose.
