The Meander at the marina

 ANACORTES, WA -- A sister wildlife photographer tipped me off to a kingfisher who has taken possession, so to speak, of a yacht in the marina where we're camped.

 Kingfishers are notoriously difficult to photograph, as they are small, quick and skittish.  They rarely stay in one spot for long.

 This one, however, seems to feel quite secure on this yacht, which is listed on the Internet at just under 79 feet.

 The boat is for sale, and obviously there hasn't been a lot of human activity aboard.  The kingfisher likes to perch on the shiny rail and chatter away to himself.  In the lower photo, he is visible on said rail. Look just below the fourth window on the left of the wheelhouse.
