| Jellyfish swarm
POULSBO, WA -- Saturday, Prince Charming and I took a walk at the marina near our house-sit, hoping to spot a seal or two.
We did see one seal, but he submerged before we could snap his picture.
There was a lot of other wildlife, however, once we looked down. In the shallows near the dock were hundreds of jellyfish.
In other news, after nearly a week of playing tourist, we checked out the local YMCA, which is huge and gorgeous. Upon presenting our Y membership cards from back home, we were welcomed cheerfully, and we've worked out the past two mornings.
This Y has 20,000 members, and what seems like acres of machines, miles of free weights, an upstairs running track, a climbing wall, a coffee shop and an indoor pool that always has some lanes available for lap swimming. There's probably more that we haven't discovered yet.
I swam Saturday morning, and found things quite murky. My mirrored goggles, great in the Florida sun, are way too dark for an indoor pool on a cloudy day.
There's a sporting goods store near the Y, with a good selection of goggles. Problem solved.
