Campground entertainment

WELLINGTON, CO -- Commercial campgrounds are not our favorites, but sometimes our choices are limited, and sometimes we really need running water.
Thursday night, bearing down on Fort Collins in the early stages of the rush hour, we took refuge in a KOA here.  KOAs generally have good, clean facilities.  This one was up to snuff in rest rooms and once we'd parked, we headed straight for the showers.
Our bonus was the rabbit review.  Evidently, this spring was a fruitful one for the local bunnies.  They appeared in various sizes, darting around amongst the campsites and racing for safety if approached by a human.  A campground employee told us there were 40-50 in residence.  We counted up to 12 in sight at once.
These two were the smallest ones I saw.  They were sticking together and not straying far from the safety of the crawl space under a cabin.
The thing the campground's marketing folks didn't mention was that it is just over the hill from a ranch, which can't be seen, but can be heard, and, if the wind is from the north, smelled.
There were cattle and horses in residence, and soon after we arrived, the wind shifted.  And it was still blowing pungent smells our way early Friday when we hit the road again.
