SUSANVILLE, CA -- This singing sextet was just a fraction of the marine mammal population at Simpson Reef Sunday. At interpretive sign at the overlook explained that only male sea lions come to Oregon for the winter.
The females stay in California to raise their pups in peace. The boys will head back south in the spring. In the meantime, they enjoy themselves by sunning on rocks and barking a lot and eating Oregon seafood.
